Hyrbyair Marri: Recognizing Statehood Rights of Baloch, Kurds, and Ahwazi Arabs Key to Regional Stability

Afghanistan News24: Hyrbyair Marri has stated that the United States needs to better understand the complexities of the region and what he described as the “systematic colonization” of other nations. He emphasized that if the international community—particularly the U.S.—supports the right to statehood for the Baloch, Kurds, and Ahwazi Arab nations, it could serve as a significant step toward long-term regional stability.

According to him, the emergence of independent states in these regions would contribute to peace on the northern side of the Strait of Hormuz, similar to the relative stability seen among Gulf states on the southern side. He added that control over natural resources by Iran, and the use of those resources to advance its own agenda, remains a key driver of ongoing tensions in the region.

Baloch noted that as long as this situation persists, instability and conflict are likely to continue. He argued that the most effective solution lies in allowing these nations to determine their own political future, which, in his view, would help reduce regional conflicts, political pressure, and the expansion of structures referred to as the “axis of resistance.”

He concluded by stressing that the establishment of independent and self-governing states could bring positive changes to regional security and economic development.
