Afghanistan News24: Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif warned on Wednesday that Islamabad does not need to use even a small part of its arsenal to destroy the Taliban regime in Afghanistan and is capable of returning the group to its caves.
Khawaja Asif criticized the Taliban regime for destabilizing the region by “harboring terrorist groups” and continuing a “war economy,” stressing that Pakistan’s patience had run out after four years of heavy casualties.
The Pakistani defense minister also threatened that if the Afghan Taliban beat the drums of war, the world would witness “a repeat of their escape and scandal in Tora Bora.”
